1. What is Tuxebo?
Tuxebo helps customers get scaffolding quotes faster and cheaper. It also helps rental companies manage and quote on more work and get feedback on their service.
2. I’m looking for scaffolding. Why should I use Tuxebo?

3. Does it cost anything to post a job?
No, it's completely free! Tuxebo works by charging rental companies a small success fee if they find work through this site.
4. If I post a job, do I have to use one of your rental companies?
No, there is absolutely no obligation on you. We would hope that you appreciate the value in our service, in being protected, in rewarding companies with good feedback and in surveying the market fast and free.

All we ask is that if you do find someone through us, let us know by accepting their quote and leaving feedback.
5. Is my personal information safe?
We take security very seriously and do not make your address or contact information publicly visible.

Of course any company you choose will need those details, but we only give them out when you show interest in quote, and we notify you before doing so.

Unlike other websites that work on a 'lead generation' model, we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. How can I be sure that the rental companies are qualified and insured?
The rental companies have a profile with information about their business. Certain will have feedback from work won on the site. A company with valid qualifications, memberships, insurance or other important skills will have proof of this and they should be able to make you a copy. Don't be afraid to ask for this!

You should verify information provided on company profiles before hiring.
7. If you charge the rental company a fee for securing the work, don't I pay for it in the end?
Actually, you will probably pay less when you hire through Tuxebo:

  • Compared to other marketing methods (newspaper ads, directories, etc.) Tuxebo gives companies with a cheaper way to find work. Marketing expenses will always be built into a quote. However, because we save them money on this, they can pass that saving on to you.
  • Our tendering process helps to encourage competitive quotes, saving more compared to traditional ways of finding and hiring equipment.
8. How can I contact the rental company?
We like to protect your privacy, and for this reason we encourage communication to go through the site as much as possible.

You can contact a company that has quoted by clicking on the “I’m Interested” link next to their quote. When you do this we will email you their contact information.

If a company needs more information they can ask a question about your job, and you can reply to it.
9. I accidentally accepted a quote on the site. How do I reverse it?
This is something that we do from our end. Just let us know and we can change it for you.
10. I have enough quotes on my job now. Can I close it to new interest?
Go to your job by logging in and clicking on the link to your enquiry.

Once there, click on the ‘Close enquiry’ link in the top right-hand corner.
11. How do I remove my job from the site?

If you found a company through the site it is very important you show this by clicking the ‘Accept’ button on their quote. It allows us to keep track and to hold the rental companies to account.
12. How does feedback work?
Feedback protects our customers and rewards rental companies.

Customers can check how other people have rated a company’s reliability and quality of service. This allows them to choose a company that they are confident about, and to hold that company to account afterwards. The companies will often make an extra effort to avoid disputes because of this, too. It means the service you get tends to be that bit more special.

Feedback also rewards good rental companies. Ones that do a good job will get better feedback, and so get more work.

This system makes Tuxebo safe. Do not engage anyone who suggests that you bypass the site, because an honest company who intends to do good work will want your feedback. Doing business off the site means they cannot be rewarded for good work and they will not be held accountable for bad work.
13. I've used a company through Tuxebo. How do I do leave feedback?
Log into your account and click on your job. If you haven’t ‘hired’ them yet click on the quotes section and then the ‘Accept’ button. Once you have done this, a link for leaving feedback will appear.
14. I accepted a quote through your site, but the work never happened. Can I leave feedback?
No. Feedback is based on actual services delivered. We have this rule to stop people manipulating the system and we work very hard to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of feedback.
15. I have had a bad experience with my rental company. What can I do?
You can leave feedback, but please remember the following:

Things go wrong and it is not always the company’s fault. If a the company has delivered utterly appalling service then say so, by all means. However, if your problems were more minor, please remember the damaging effect that negative feedback can have on a business.
