Our service cuts out the multitude of online 'brokers' who plague the search engine results pretending to be hire companies but are actually middlemen. Tuxebo puts you in direct contact with rental companies and their services with instant, real time pricing.
How do I get a hire quote?
Enter a postcode, compare the prices of local hire companies, then fill in an enquiry with details regarding the hire and post it. Be as detailed as possible as it helps to get a more accurate quote.
Up to 5 local hire providers in your local area are alerted to your job, those who have availability and deliver to your area will contact you with an accurate quote via phone or the Tuxebo system. You choose which you are interested in based on their rating, feedback and price. Once the job is finished you can leave feedback.

Once posted we check on your phone number and e-mail address before passing them to local hire companies. Hire companies who have the equipment you are looking for, are available and deliver to your area are contacted, those interested then contact you via phone or our system.
Who can sign up to Tuxebo?
Anyone can use Tuxebo! You can be a public body, a company, and individual or association. We already have all these types of entity using the service.
How does feedback work?
Feedback rewards our providers and protects our users.
Past feedback informs - users can check past feedback for a providers reliability and quality of service. This system rewards excellence. It is rare that negative feedback is received as the system ensures our providers make an extra effort to resolve disputes. Our feedback gives our providers an opportunity to promote the quality of their service through independent reviews from people you trust - other users.
Future feedback empowers - Our providers have an extra incentive to ensure their feedback is excellent. Those who transact via our service use it safe in the knowledge they can reward the provider for good service and hold them accountable for bad. This passes knowledge to all future users and empowers them. It also means the service you get tends to be that bit more special.
This system makes Tuxebo safe. Do not engage anyone who suggests that you bypass the site. An honest provider who intends to do good work will want your feedback. If they cut corners on the system you can be sure their service will emulate this. The hire providers have information about themselves and their business on their profile. Certain will have feedback from work won on the site. A hire provider who has any valid qualifications, memberships, insurances or other important skills will have proof of this and they should be able to make you a copy.
Don't be afraid to ask for this! Please note that ANY information provided on their profiles will need to be verified by you prior to hiring.
I have received quotes, what now?
You may receive quotes by phone or email or via our system. Each enquiry receives up to 5 quotes. If you are happy with those received choose one and hire your equipment. It can take up to 48 hrs to receive quotes.
I've found a provider through the site and I want to leave feedback. How do I do this?
Login to your account and you will be able to leave feedback via a link if the hire period has passed.
I hired from a provider but didn't transact or conclude the rental, can I leave feedback?
Sorry no. Feedback is transactional only and based on actual services delivered. Feedback is presented as being informed from experience and we work very hard to ensure the authenticity of feedback and its accuracy.
I have had a bad experience with my provider, they let me down, what can I do?
Things go wrong and it is not always our providers fault. The cause may have been out of their control. In any event the agreement you have is between the two of you, Tuxebo only offers an extra element of protection in the form of feedback. The ability to leave a comment on a providers profile when the job is done creates a level of accountability that wouldn't exist otherwise. We hope its existence provides an extra incentive to deliver excellent service and compromise in dispute.
If a provider has delivered utterly appalling service please tell others about it via feedback. If it is small and insignificant to the grander service delivery, we would ask that the feedback be positive as on a balance this is fair proportionate to the damage you could do to the success of a providers business.
Do I pay more or less through Tuxebo?

No, there is absolutely no obligation on you. We would hope that you appreciate the value in our service, in being protected, in rewarding hire providers with good feedback and in surveying the market fast and free. For some hire items you get can request a site visit from those companies you would like to possibly hire.
There is no obligation still, all you have done is ask them to contact you so they can better tailor their service and likely improve their quote.
Why do you need my personal information and address?
The hire companies need to be able to contact you with the quotes. It also helps the company you use to hire your equipment to contact you once you have agreed your hire.
I've entered my enquiry. Why aren't there any quotes?
Our system alerts our providers to your enquiry immediately. For most enquiries users receive prices within minutes. Depending on the item you are hiring and the complexity of the hire some providers may need time to cost up the job. If you called them directly they would not be able to give you a quote either and would likely request a site visit.
Our detailed job descriptions, photos and mapping tools allows the provider to give you the most accurate quote at the earliest possible opportunity without a site visit. They will quote as soon as they can.
Alternatively, it may be that there are very few providers in your area, or that there are even fewer available for that job. If you are having problems getting a provider contact us! We'll soon whip them into shape and get you the best price out there.
